Last  Tuesday Newton Abbot rugby club came into school to run a girls rugby development day.

Lessons 1 & 2 saw 30 Year 7 & 8 girls and Lesson 3 & 4 saw 35 Year 9 & 10 girls battling the wind, rain and cold to participate.

The sessions consisted of numerous skills and drills to build the girls confidence in rugby.  Despite the temperature the girls had a fantastic time, the best bit being the tackling. The day was great fun and the girls learnt a lot and found a new love for rugby.  It was also nice to see some of our ex-students coming in to help run the day.
