At Coombeshead Academy we aim to develop confident digital citizens equipped with the skills and knowledge to fully embrace a future of ever changing technology.  Through challenging and engaging projects, students will develop skills in a variety of computer software and programs to enable them to live and work within a digital world. We teach a high-quality computing education which equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world.

 

iMedia

OCR Cambridge Nationals Creative iMedia

Partaking in the Creative iMedia course will enable all learners to develop a wide a range of creative digital media skills that will provide them with numerous transferable skills that can be used in later life.  We believe that it is essential to develop student’s digital fluency in order that they can become more confident and safe digital citizens. Our aim is to ensure that students participating in our course become digitally literate with the ability to use and express themselves and develop their ideas through, information and communication technology – at a level suitable for the future workplace and as active participants in a digital world.  Skills such as research, team work, effective communication, planning, and review will enable all learners to create “fit-for-purpose” creative media products.

Creative iMedia challenges learners of all abilities by encouraging independence and creativity and providing tasks that engage demanding aspects of the National Curriculum.
